corny biology lines

give me some ideas for corny biology lines for posters :P

those are incredibly corny.. :p

I wish you were DNA helicase so you could unzip my genes?

lol...have that!

How do you eat a DNA spaghetti?
With a replication fork (you can also use your zinc fingers...)

Biology is the only science in which multiplication means the same thing as division.

and lmao:

It has recently been discovered that research causes cancer in rats.

Sterility is hereditary: If your grandfather didn't have children and your father didn't have children, you won't have children too.

Life is a sexually transmitted disease.

except none of them make good posters!

[edit] try to think of puns!!

TATA Box ... that's it.

Math may be [integral]e^xy, but Biology has the brains (and hearts, and livers and lungs...)

what? OHHHH sexy... got it haha nice one!

I have a calculus one: I wish I were your derivative so I could lie tangent to your curves.

"Jorge Soberon of CONABIO told ABC Science Online that an average of 10 per cent of corn in the areas studied had been found to contain transgenic DNA."

LOL @ TATA box

my whole class got in trouble when we learned this because we couldn't stop giggling. :D we're just a bunch of sixth graders trapped in seniors' bodies :)

You might know it as Goldberg-Hogness box. It's a DNA sequence found in the genes of eukaryotes, or something like that. It's the binding site of something or other. I don't remember.

Say it out loud. TATA box.

lol i know what the TATA box is, i just dont get the joke...and still dont :P

yeah, I don't get it either..

Yea, I'm also in the dark.

tah-tah? i'm a physics guy, this bewilders me.

as in tah-tahs?
i'm guessing it's sexual because that's the only thing i remember thinking about in 6th grade.

the TATA box is the area in the promoter of synthesized RNA where there is a long pattern of Thymine and Adenine nucleotides.

um.... it just has a funny name... that's it.

oh like BOOBS?

^lol. yeah TATA box. i guess it was funny at first but we've been saying it in class for months so not anymore! :P

same here, that's my favorite part of bio, all of the silly words.

We were doing some activity on stem cells (or it might have been cancer, I forget :P) and apparently there is something called a "Sonic Hedgehog" that is an actual biology term. It's actually in medical journals.
