D Got in UCSC marine science cluster. How many applicants do they have and how many get selected? She is not sure if she wants to go though.

@travel family what cluster number is it?

It is cluster 3 - Under the Sea.

I was accepted into Biomedical Sciences at Davis. Who else is in Cluster 7? Congrats and good luck to all!

i want to go to biomedical sciences at davis! it sounds soo fun, except i applied to ucsd.

cluster 3 was a very competitive cluster she should be proud of herself

have you guys ever heard of doing a research/Intel type project at COSMOS? Is this possible?

Wait-listed at UCSC for Cluster 3: Under the Sea

i have a question!
if i didn’t get an email, or anything in the mail, but i logged into the cosmos application thing and the status says “not accepted” does it really mean i’m not accepted? or do they default that for everyone before they receive a notification?

not accepted means not accepted.
i looked on mine and it said wait-listed.
you should be receiving an email though.

^^what was the status for your cluster?

it said
application status: Wait-listed
Cluster: Under the Sea

@travelfamily
congrats to your daughter, but if she doesn’t want to go to that cluster don’t take up the spot for people who really want to and are wait-listed. thanks.
she should go if it was her top choice

ohh because mine said
application status: not accepted
cluster: under review

so i wasn’t really sure
but thanks

ya. that seems weird that it says not accepted but cluster to be under review. they dont seem to match.

maybe a miracle will happen they’ll send me something tomorrow.
and they just didn’t update my status or something.

but that seems kind of unlikely ahahaha

ya. this actually seems very unorganized. i was told 3 different dates for notification of acceptance.
what clusters did you sign up for and what campus?

there is always hope

i signed up for 1) astronomy and astrophysics 2) life on the edge and 3) mathematical game theory at UCI

it doesn’t seem like UCI was very competitive so i’m surprised that you weren’t accepted.
cause there wasnt a group with more than a hundred people

wait scratch that there was one onehundred in Clinical and Translational Science
