Could any one please chance me for transferring to A&M

Hi everyone

My name is Leo Nguyen, an international student in De Anza college, CA. I plan to apply for Spring 2011.Please chance me for TX A&M

Major: Economics minor in Business. I want to major in Finance/Econ, but Mays seems to be way harder to get in than School of Liberal Art. Mays also doesn't receive transfer student for Spring :(

Age: 22 this summer so 2 gap years? (It takes me 2 years from 2006 to 2008 in an engineering college in VN for nothing! I hate that college really much, but my parents didn't let me leave until Winter 2009)
My grade in that college is really bad that I don't want to put it into my application. I will make it as gap years. (I hate study in that school, and I think it has a deflated grade system with 8.5 highest).

GPA: 4.0 with 51 transferable (graded) quarter. I will definitely go with this trend until I transfer.

Test Score: No SAT I didn't plan to go to the US to study until late 2008...

Rigor of classes: Not all of classes in my college have A+. I got 2 A+ for 2 Econ classes, 3As for Calculus 1A, 1B, 1C, A for English composition I class (taking 2 more), an A for Intro to Business class, an A for Political Science class, an A for Environmental Biology class w/ lab. All As and A+ for other general education classes.

ECs:
In high school, I joined and prepared for yearly school camps. I was also a singer for my school in a city school concert competition. My test score for a national university entrance examination was the third in my high school (around 600 kids). There is some other, but not much...
I hardly can do much ECs in college, since I need to work & volunteer on weekend. Except: being a club member for 2 clubs in school, volunteering in a program that prepares for a IYF Youth World Camp in UCLA this summer, and volunteering in an Insurance & Financial Agency (making quotes for prospective customers, answering phones, solving customers' problems with accidents, etc) for more than 2 months. I might continue this job till transferring. Last summer, when I went back to Vietnam for 2 month, I attended a volunteer program in a poor village in Vietnam for a month.
I do some photography with my DSLR, and have some good photos and an A+ for a photography class ( not sure it will be counted as ECs or not).
Member of Phi Theta Kappa

Recommendation: I think I will also get decent letters of recommendation from my Math prof and my Economics prof. I take 2 classes with each of them, and I was on top of all 4 classes (I got >100% for both Econ classes). I also have pretty good contacts with them too.

Anyone please chance me for A&M AND $1000 transfer scholarship that will waive my out of state tuition (I can merely afford 20k to 25k a year).

Any thoughts will be very appreciated.
Thank you!!!

First of all, are you considered an international transfer or just a regular transfer? I’m not sure if it matters though…and since you’re a transfer, I don’t think your high school stats matter that much.

I’m sorry I’m not much help though, I’m still in high school haha.

P.S. Yay, we’re both Viet :D

haha, Thank you. I am VNmese, and I can tell so you are from your last name too. )
I am an international student transfer from an US college ). I don’t know does it matter or not? I hope they won’t care much about my high school, since my high school stat is pretty bad, and at the time I have around 90 transferable units.

Your stats look pretty good. I am also the same ethnicity as you two are lol. xD
You have pretty good chances to get in to even Mays, but I don’t know about the scholarship…

This is my update :D, what do you think xcellerator?
