Could I have a guitar in my dorm freshman year?

<p>I play the electric guitar and I was wondering if it would be okay to take my electric guitar along with a small amplifier to use for personal use. Of course, I will be using headphones pretty much all the time as to not disrupt the learning environment. If it matters, I’m an incoming freshman.</p>

<p>Has anyone seen anyone with an electric guitar in their dorm room? I’m asking because the housing contract does not allow “disruptive use of amplified sound equipment”, but of course mz use will not be disruptive.</p>

<p>Yes, you can. Besides, it’s not like you’re going to play your guitar late at night. When I lived in the dorms, there were people cranking their music to full volume anyway, which is more of a disruptive use of amplified sound equipment than if you played your guitar with headphones.</p>
