Usually I could. In my school, it's mainly the asians; either with a preppy attire or baggy/comfortable clothes. Also by the size of their backpack.

It depends on how you define overachievers.
Overachieving "Achieving more than what is expected given his or her intelligence level."

In that respect, I would say a lot of the overachievers in my school are these annoying, preppy white kids. For instance, the girls that dress like sluts and play the role as "teacher's pet" and the loud obnoxious guys who make stupid jokes in class but heaven forbid them from actually being interesting!

Nope, dress code makes everyone look rather similar...

nope, u couldn't

Some of them, yes. Most of them, not at all.

Kind of, the overachievers generally wear the same clothes as the top prepsters.

teacher's pet

I go to a small school so for the most part everyone knows who tries really hard in school. I definately don't dress or look like an overachiever. I love fashion and makeup and stuff... which I guess isn't what the typical overachiever is into. My backpack gives me away though. It weighs like 100 pounds haha. The overachievers in my school brag about their SAT scores even though by CC standards they suck (1800-2000 range). I always want to pwn them and be like "Well guess what I got?" But I don't... eh.

well, generally, anyone that is an IB student at my school has a giant bookbag. so maybe..

but I like being an overachiever... who cares if it makes others jealous!

yea .10 char.

naw, I don't look an overachiever I hope...

Yeah, very preppy clothing...

I go to a school with uniforms and you can still tell. The one girl who is the ultimate overachiever (she was once caught sobbing and throwing up after getting a 90 in 6th grade) always wears her skirt really long. Her hair is frizzy but straight. She never wears any makeup except for occasionally dance make up which looks just awful. She carries herself really oddly, she always carries this giant bulkly laptop case across her chest which nobody else at school uses. She always sits in the front row and watches everyone like some creepy, stalkish dog. She's really not incredibly smart but spends all of her time memorizing absolutely everything we ever learn. rant over

^^^lmfaaaaaaaao

Yes, the ones who are depressed, don't do **** outside of school, and have no life.
Those are the overachievers. Grats to them.

I agree with that one.

Uniforms required at our school => no way of telling...except test scores.

^ah contrary to popular belief there are many kids who still look funny in uniforms. See my above post.

hmmm this is a good question, i've never thought about it! i suppose you can see who the overachievers are mainly IN class because they are the one sucking up to the teachers about everything and they normally dress really plain: simple but obviously the best quality

Some of the overachievers in my school party really hard with me, since they care a lot about social acceptance.
In fact, unexpectedly, one person in my school I would classify as an underachiever (very high SATs, well-spoken, but so-so grades) is 'morally opposed' to alcohol.
