Swag People

My school right know has a HUGE Swagget problem, they'll usually be wearing Obey clothing or Diamond and Supra even though they're not skaters and sometimes they sag so much I can literally see their ass's fully. They usually have a fake watch like a fake Rolex also. Some of my friend's actually wear this stuff and even though I don't tell them I actually have no respect for them. So I'm asking how much of a problem does your school have with swag?

Had that problem in middle school. It’s pretty annoying, but I wouldn’t go as far to say I have no respect for them! Thank God no one at my school has the option to dress like that. Perks of wearing uniform haha

Be happy knowing that in the future these people will prepare your meals and do your dry cleaning while you walk onto your jet and fly off to Cabo to play golf for the weekend.

@chiclanda Hey now… I don’t know if you’re kidding or not, but that sounds rather harsh. Though I don’t particularly like that style, I don’t think you can judge someone’s future based on the way they dress.

Wow at some of you guys. @chic I have friends who are like “those people” and they are smart and nice people. They are in many of my AP classes and in the top ten % and 2000+ SATs. Way to call them failures.

If these same people have their prospects reduced to fast food service, then the rest of the kids are screwed. I don’t see how you can just judge all the people who chose to dress a certain way. It’s like saying everyone who wears a turban is a terrorist.

I’m sorry, I hope I didn’t come off as rude in my first post! I meant that I don’t really like that style of clothing, but I would never judge people because of it.

Calm down. If you have smart swaggets in your school that’s great for you. Maybe I just speak for myself, but my school only has two types of people. Those who dress nerdy and are smart and those who wear snap back hats, sag their pants, and will be stocking shelves at walmart

My school does not have a problem with decorative window coverings. As far as I know, all windows are covered by blinds.

My school has an infestation of swaggots as well. And the stereotype is so true.

I think there are much more important things to worry about than how other kids are dressing or how often they say “YOLO”

I’m so glad I’m in all advanced/honors/AP classes this year. Can’t stand those people.

LOL, love this thread. I have a small number of friends like this. They’re cool and nice people, but it gets annoying AF when some do it too much such as GSAthwal’s link. Some are way too shallow. Not saying other people in my school aren’t, most just have more of a thought filter and avoid sounding like asses. People at my school don’t have the fake Rolexes though. G-shocks are everything over here (I’m a girl and wear a black Baby-G with a coral pink face, and apparently that makes me “fresh”).

Those are the extremes though. And honestly, I hate extreme “swaggots” just as much as I hate extreme preps. Extreme anything is just scary and annoying.

I say let people dress how they want. I’m sure plenty of those people could be extremely intelligent for all we know.

It may be nice to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I know most of the people who dress like that at my school either deal or do drugs (it’s a small school. Also, homemade tats). Most Stereotypes are grounded in reality no matter how much we want to deny it.

@kcirtap35 Have to totally agree with you, a huge majority of people who follow the swag culture are associated with doing or selling drugs, at my old school their was such a large swag population that if you type my old school’s name into Google the one review of my school says this exact phrase “It is a joke of a school; however, it does have the best drugs in the neighbourhood. :)”

@GSAthwal my school is located in the ghetto, what’s your school’s excuse?

Edit: My friend thought he was buying drugged gummy worms from a Swagget, but it was just illegal to sell anything at school

I like how this @NathanG guy calls people who prepare food and dry clean clothing failures. Nobody appreciates your pretentiousness.

You’re the one that called them failures basically…

No, I don’t have a problem with swag people because I’m not a snob who judges people for wearing clothes or acting in a way that do not conform to my upper-middle class white/Asian standards…

^ Preach It!
