Couldn't get a breadth course

Hi guys. For this spring, I couldn’t take introductory biology as a breadth course because they didn’t offer it this quarter., even though I “planned” it in my TAU. The only thing different from my planned courses I submitted from TAU and now is that I’m taking another breadth course instead, Ethnic Studies. I’m a CS major from UCR applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI. Is it actually necessary to call/email each individual campus about such a minor change? I was planning to just notify them, if I get accepted, telling them about this small change, asking them how this will affect my admission, and just carry on by asking about how my units will transfer, etc.

I don’t think it will hurt you as long as the requirements are still met though with a different course. I changed mine as well. I just emailed them individually.

From the registrar’s perspective…any discrepancy from your reported courses and your actual transcript is not considered a “minor” change.

It’s always better for you to tell them first rather than them finding out later.

Thanks guys, I just emailed the UC admissions center as well as each individual university. I hope it wasn’t too late.
