<p>Call them and ask. I personally doubt that they would throw your stuff away as long as you pay the application fee, but they do say that you must submit the Common App for your file to be opened.</p>

<p>All schools open a file for the prospective applicant as soon as they receive the first part of the student's application, whether it is a transcript, letter of reference, actual application, etc.</p>
<p>Not an issue - they will keep your recs in a file and wait for your application to come in.</p>
