Count of Acceptances, by School, Fall 2010

I agree with rigaudon. The value of the list is not that it is comprehensive, or even representative. Achieving either of those would be trying to bite off far more than violadad and I put together could chew. It can be useful for a number of other things, however, such as getting ideas for schools to research, finding contacts who can tell you about a specific school, judging when a school might release decisions from the date they started to arrive in prior years, finding someone else who may be headed to the same school that you are. One other important one is to celebrate the success of our young musicians on this forum.

We have had a number of flute players who were shooting for top programs in years past. This year, the woodwinds, brass and classical percussion seem to be less well represented, but there are a lot more singers and a lot more jazz instrumentalists. Next year it could be something completely different.
