I see that the acceptances have started already. Let's kick this year's list off with:

cartera45's D: vocal performance - West Chester U

Feel free to add your own acceptances in alphabetical order by poster as we did last year. If you just want to post your own success story, that is also fine. One of the helpful folks around here will incorporate it into the right spot on a later posting.

I have a suggestion... could we possibly switch it so that the list goes alphabetically by school rather than by username?

I think (especially once the list gets long) that this might make it faster for current juniors (or anyone else who might have a question) to find somebody to PM who has been accepted to a school they're interested in. It would also be convenient for current seniors to figure out quickly if any other CCers have been accepted to the same schools they are.

At any rate, I'll add my first acceptance to the list (yay!):

cartera45's D: vocal performance - West Chester U
lostinthemusic: clarinet performance - Virginia Commonwealth University
operasinger2000: vocal performance - Duquesne

or...
Duquesne - operasinger2000: vocal performance
Virginia Commonwealth University - lostinthemusic: clarinet performance
West Chester U - cartera45's D: vocal performance

jazzzmomm's S: jazz studies-UMass-Amherst

It's hard to sort by school when there are multiple acceptances... The best way for the situations you mention is simply do a find of the school name - i.e. press Ctrl + F (or alternatively, Edit -> Find in the menu, which should work for most browsers) and search. Always a good technique if you are wadding through a profusion of information.

jazzzmomm's S: jazz studies - UMass Amherst
lostinthemusic: clarinet performance - Virginia Commonwealth University
operasinger2000: vocal performance - Duquesne

I don't think that this list is going to get so enormous that indexing it both ways will be impossible, so:

Duquesne - operasinger2000 (vocal performance),
UMass Amherst - jazzzmomm's S (jazz studies),
Virginia Commonwealth U - lostinthemusic (clarinet performance),
West Chester U - cartera45's D (vocal performance),

S just got into Stanford. Plans to major in music if he goes. They don't have a performance department, so he might try to work out a deal with SF Conservatory. All music applications were due Dec 1 and are in, so we'll see what happens.

I realize that we are in that awkward period between acceptances made on a rolling basis and those made on a traditional basis, but I just wanted to remind folks that this thread is here in case there have been any more outcomes of interest.
