haha i started playing temple run during essay writing period in december haha! my high score is 980000+ no idea.

My high score is 6 million(:
My friends all beat me though ):

Which character do you guys have? I have the Asian girl and the football player, but their both like the same.

Yeah do the characters make a difference or are their attributes purely aesthetic?

PreppieEffy- I wasn’t even aware that there were multiple characters…

Haha @98beebee I’m gonna pm you :)

@starkali I know, me too! It’s like hidden in the store…

My high score is only 300,000 or something. Failll. ;)

I bought the asian lady character temple run gives me self-induced seizures when the game gets really fast LOL.

Honestly, Temple Run frustrates me even more than boarding school applications haha. I get like abnormally upset when I finally reach my high score, and then forget to jump and ultimately loose haha.

On another note, I heard that some schools may be changing their way of notifying people of their decisions. Someone told me that because March 10th falls on a Saturday, some schools may email their decisions this year, rather than send them via snail mail. Has anyone else heard this?

Also, ONLY 45 MORE DAYS UNTIL DECISION DAY! :D

@starkali I have heard a little about that. Plus, there’s an old thread that specifies how each school informs the applicants and plenty already informed by email or their login website-thingie (GoChoate for example.) If all schools did that I’d be soo relived as I don’t live in New England so mail might not arrive on time plus e-mail/online is quick and easy and a lot less nerve-racking. (I can already imagine myself freaking out over small envelopes haha.) Ahh 45 days only? Gahh

I hate it when I get the speed boosts, and the avatar goes wayyy too fast and I get all anxious. But I love the invisible power-up because I just sit there, watch it, and do nothing. Also, those demon monkeys are really creepy! :)

45 days until a very life-changing decision. Oh yeah, nbd. Haha :P

@starkali HAHA I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. i always play on the bus ride home from school, and everytime i swipe in the wrong direction and fall off the edge, i’ll make this stifled half-scream and people will judge me. :(

@aubreygal LOL i have a friend who screams and screams about how much it freaks her out when the speed boosts comes on haha

YAYYYY!!! Email? That’s gonna be so much faster than mail/FedEx. But it’s more impersonal. Whatevs… :D

CherryRose: It is a little impersonal, but regardless, the sooner we know of their decision, the better!

Blehjoints: I know how you feel haha. Sometimes I’ll be in my room playing TR, and all of a sudden I’ll start screeching. Then everyone will run upstairs to see what’s wrong haha.

Aubreygal: Haha, what grade are you applying for? Also which schools?

A little food for thought:

Some of you feel that it’s boarding school or nothing (I felt that way at the end of 8th grade and now I’m currently in 9th). I would suggest you get that notion out of your head because your experiences you will have will be only as great as you make them :)

I’ve come to realization that yeah, it would be great to go to a elite boarding school, but I know that the school I’m at now is perfectly fine and that I need to make the best of it. I joined drama, something I would have never done before, auditioned for a few plays, and ended up scoring the lead role in one of them. After I saw my name on that paper, I knew that no matter where I am, I have the ability to do great things.

Stepping away from the seriousness, TR is my little addiction I get so excited when I see the coin magnet haha.

What schools are you applying to??

Emma Willard, Peddie, NMH, Concord, Westminster, Dana Hall, Mercersburg, Lawrenceville, and a local private school.

Woah nice, Milton Andover exeter

What intrigued you about Milton? I haven’t researched the school very much, but at first glance (looking at the website), it looks like a fantastic school. It also seems very diverse.

Just out of curiosity, (this may come off as a slightly provocative) how many of you are minorities? Being a minority (Black), ethnic diversity (as well as socioeconomic diversity) is extremely important to me, when it comes to searching for a boarding school. I’m interested to know how important ethnic diversity is to some of non-minority applicants.

@starkali I’m in a minority too! I’m multiracial (Jamaican and Caucasian) so I have to go to a school with a high ethnic diversity. Socioeconomic diversity is equally important to me as I’m definitely considered lower-class money-wise which puts me in another minority in the boarding school world. I’d love to know how non-minorities view ethnic diversity as well so if you’re not in a minority post away!
