Course Planning before NSO

I will be a direct admit to the Kelley School of Business, and I was wondering if it is important to research courses that I have to take and plan out what I’d like to take prior to orientation, or if my advisor will be helpful with that. In addition, I have taken 30 credits worth of dual enrollment courses and am struggling to find out if any transfer and I also have AP transfer and possible AP’s this year.

My son literally just finished filling out an online form with course ideas. Kelley just sent it to him last week. It asks about AP courses and other credits too. He is in the first orientation section so I’m not sure if everyone got it, or just those that are going in a few weeks. For the AP classes there is a chart online that tells you what transfers - just google “IU AP Credit” and it will pop up

There’s no point in planning a schedule down to what time you will take each class right now because stuff will fill up between now and when you register. However, I would try to have an idea of what classes you want to take first semester. Check out my reply to this thread and let me know if you have any questions about what you should be taking: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/indiana-university-bloomington/2072590-how-hard-is-iu-kelley-in-terms-of-grading-and-workloads.html#latest

DS had many AP and DE credits- IU took all of them. They will help you after your initia course registration by bumping you ahead of others with less credits. DS was actually invited to a sophomore luncheon (by mistake) because with all his credits when he entered IU he looked like a sophomore.
