so what courses were you guys/girls recommended to take, and what courses will you actually register for (that is, if you already know)?

Math 20B

my recommended schedule was this:
CAT 1 (for sixth-ers)
Any GE Humanities
Any GE Art
CSE 3

i havent decided if i'm gonna actually go with this schedule though.

where can I find this info?

Chem6A
Math 20B
MMW1

I completely ignored the schedule they recommended to me last year.

whys that? ^^^^^^^^

where did you guys get the recommendations? email?

virtual advising

MMW 1
Math 20C
MAE 1
CHEM 6A

think I'll be doing that except Physics 2A instead of chem

I can't access virtual advising, it takes me to Warren's newstudent.ucsd.edu, but the "Advising and Enrollment" tab isn't working for me. Argh, am I the only one?

click on the newstudent link then there should be a link to "Recommended Courses" on the page you go to

The problem is, I can't even go to the newstudent link -- can't access e-advising either :(

DOC 1
Math 20C
Chem 6A
ECE 15

I'm thinking about doing Math 20C next quarter, and instead do a GE
Any recommended classes for Fine Arts or Humanities?

Can someone take three classes? Why does the guidance say that I should make sure I take four (non-wait listed) classes? It wasn't a personal comment. Is taking over four classes mandatory for full-time students or is it just a mere recommendation?

toyst4, full-time student is considered 12 units, usually three classes that are four units each. My recommendation states 3 classes and a seminar

well 3 classes is minimum a quarter but unless you have a significant amount of ap credits there's no way you'll meet the 180 units you need to graduate in 4 years.

I don't really mind if it takes me more than 4 years to graduate, so at the bare minimum at 12 units per quarter, I would graduate in 5 years? Seeing as how 180/5 is 45 per year, divide that further into 3 quarters, thats 12 per quarter...

On another note, does Philosophy count towards Humanities?

Gontello, 180/5 is 36 per year....i think that's what you meant.
