So i am bit confused now i have already confirmed my orientation date on 18 august so do i register my courses on 18 august or do i register them before that online and is 18 august late i wont find space in classes please help?

You register at Orientation… see Day 2 schedule: [Schedule at a Glance](http://www.ofyp.umn.edu/en/orientation/schedule-at-a-glance.html)

Are you a freshman?

Some of the advisors at orientation will give out “permission numbers” that allow you to get into particular courses that are full. But yea, overall it is slim pickings, most of the best time slots will be full by then, but you’re a frosh what did you expect haha

noimagination yup am a freshman

dont know what a frosh is

Yes - You will register at orientation. For the most part, I assume you’ll be taking entry level courses that generally cater toward freshman. You may find a little difficulty getting into foreign language and math classes, depending on your level and language (for foreign language). Other than that, classes being full is part of the registration process. If you find a class that you want, sign up for the wait list - it won’t hurt. But like plumney1 said, a lot of ideal time slots will be full, meaning the likelihood of an 8am or 9am is higher. You can still get a good schedule though, it might just take some time to figure it out.

Also, Frosh = Freshman/1st Year
