i signed up for
1. FYS Contraversies in Criminal Policy
2. International Politics
3. Calculus II!!! at 9 30 though
4. Ceramics

might switch stuff around though because i'm in a different section of international politics then i thought i would be in

rache, if u get rid of criminal policy please let me know as I am very upset I got closed out. Thank you. What time did u go on to get it. I went on at 7:45 and it was out

1) Reading Marx, revisitng Marxisms
2)Origins of the New Nation, 1500-1820
3)Intro to Paleoentology (this looks like the easiest way to get rid of the science requirements)
4)Arthurian Literature

Hope i didn't shaft myself with too much work, but I heard Profs. Corlett and Hall are absolutely amazing (they teach the first two, respectively)

As of now I don't think I will drop it, but if i change my mind i will tell you.
I got on the computer at exactly 7 am yesterday in order to get the classes i wanted.
Keep checking, there's a chance someone might drop it during the summer.

1) FYS Hamlet (if anyone is thinking of dropping visions of community please please tell me)
2) span 202
3)european history
4) international politics

Chemistry 107B

Arthurian Lit

Latin 101

into the woods (FYS)

just a question, but does anyone know if i should be taking chem 107B if i already have credit for 107A and 108A? lol i have no idea how the number system works

aninar, are you in the international politics class at 2:40?

yes i am... from 2:40 to 4:00 MWF

sweet me too!!! I was really disappointed because i thought there was only a class at 1:10 and it was full but then I realized there was a second one. I think our class must be mostly freshmen.

http://abacus.bates.edu/catalog/?s=97&a=renderDept&d=CHEM

If you have credit for 107 and 108, you go right into Organic Chemistry or another upper level chem course. You probably got a 4 or 5 on the AP test?

108B is a special section of 108 with an environmental trist.

yeah...i guess but it wont let me go into those classes for some reason....is that cause u cant do them as a freshman or what? cause i have all the prerequisites and theres space in the class and theres no time conflicts

I got closed out of a lot of classes so heres what i got.

1)Sciences of ALternative Medicines (FYS)
2) Criminalistics
3) Intermediate Spanish
4) What is Rhetoric?

IF anyone wants to drop the FYS OF COntroversies in Criminal Policies let me know.

Is Intermediate Spanish correct if you've taken spanish in high school

Is Rhetoric a good class, or do u have any othe rrecomendations

i heard that rhetoric is a great class and the prof that teaches it is awesome. i wanted to take that class but there wasn't enough room in my schedule.

i think spanish 202 (intermediate II) is the same thing as spanish 5 in high school...but because spanish isn't very standardized I don't know how ready I am for it.

FYS: Geometry in Edo Japan
Evolution of Cosmology
Calculus II
Criminology

Hm... I wanted to take Intermediate Spanish I, but I got closed out. And I also wanted to take Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory, but it has a class restriction. Have any idea how I can get into that course? I know pretty much everything in the Intro courses.

Now that I've finally figured this out (with a lot of help from rachie :))...

FYS: Trials of Conscience

Beginning Chinese

Social Anthropology

States and Markets

I changed my FYS a hundred times - it pays to go back to Garnet once in a while to check out what courses have been dropped!

FYS Trials of Conscience
Bugs in the System
Spanish 201
Greek Civilization

Micro and Macro Econ filled up ridiculously fast, a bit disappointed about that.
"U.S. colleges and universities awarded 16,141 degrees to economics majors in the 2003-2004 academic year, up nearly 40% from five years earlier" (The Wall Street Journal).

hey...can you start a new lang. and still be able to studyt abroad jr. year?

btw...rach...this is a really stupid question but do you know how i can post on the bates livejournal...i've never used livejournal before an i can't seem to figure it out haha
