CP or AP History

In picking my courses for next year, I've really come to a point where I have no idea what to do about my US History II class. I can choose between AP or CP, however, these courses are so different from each other which makes it such a hard choice. If I do AP, I will be spending hours defining terms in long packets, and studying for very difficult tests. Many kids in my grade are taking the first half of AP history this year, and it looks very challenging. If I do CP, however, I will learn little to nothing, I will be surrounded by class clowns who could care less about learning, but the course will be easy.

For my other courses, I'm taking AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Spanish, Accel. English, and Accel. PreCalc. I know that this schedule will not be easy, and since I'm not really a history person, I figured it was a place where I could cut back... but I feel like neither option meets my needs. Also, how would colleges look at not taking the AP history?

CP as in…Child pr0n?

Take the College Prep class. You won’t regret it.

Taking APUSH won’t automatically lead to failure. Take it, try it out. If it’s not for you, you could always transfer out to CP history - and even then, maybe still be ahead.

Take AP to develop a work ethic.
