CPA 150 Unit requirement-can all CC units fulfill the 150 unit requirement?

Hey, I am planning to take some CC classes to fulfill the new 150 unit requirement. However, I am not sure if the classes I want to take can fulfill the requirement. Do the classes have to be UC trasnferrable in order to be eligible to fulfill the requirement or do all CC units count towards it?

Thank you so much for your help!

Does anyone have an answer for this question, specifically for CA? I guess a better question might be which units, if any, obtainable at at a CC wouldn’t count towards the 150 requirement.

Being from Illinois, I don’t have an answer for the OP. However, this is the type of question where there are as many correct answers as there are states or territories licensing CPA’s.

For example, here in Illinois, while CC classes can be used to reach the 150 hour requirement, it is required that you earn at least 6 extra accounting hours (upper level/graduate) over and above the standard BBA classes. (Most CC’s do not offer these types of classes.) In addition, if you don’t have an accredited MAcc/MSA/MBA, there are specific hours required in accounting research, ethics and communication - your BBA may or may not have covered these new requirements.
