Cracking the PSAT/NMSQT or Barron's How to Prepare for the Psat???

Hi,

I'm going to take the PSAT and was wondering which book is better. I read the revirews at amazon.com and barron's recieved bad replies talking about errors in almost every other page. However I haven't heard anything about PR's book. Plz help.

sbi, it takes too long for the pages to load on there. Major turnoff.

mcgraw hill's sat is a very nice book .. highly recommended .. although its long , which is why its good . covers everything youll meet.

Whenever I'm stuck between books I just get all of them. I order them cheap off of Half.com. It's loading up my desk and bookshelves, but heck, more books for me!

But looking at the Barron's reviews, I think Amazon made a goof, because some of them are from like, 2002 and 2003, which would be a different edition. The PR and Kaplan reviews are all up-to-date.

yeah that's what I noticed so I came here. anymore suggestions?

"mcgraw hill's sat is a very nice book .. highly recommended .. although its long , which is why its good"

It's long because of lots of test-taking advice, or because of lots of practice sections?

I Have That One && Its Amazing It Helped A Lot When I TOok It(:

I completely agree with the fact that Barrons has errors everywhere (in all their guides). I got more out of using one week of PR than I did after using a month of Barrons…go for PR.

I have both Barron’s and mcgraw hill’s and in my opinion, the latter is definitely better, since it has 6 full practice tests, and full math review which is helpful for those who have problems with math. plus, i found barron’s practice test exceedingly difficult sometimes, but in mcg hill’s they seem to be quite adequate. so, thumbs up for mcgraw hill’s!
