Crap, now what am I gonna do?

So I'm a sophomore History major who was planning on minoring in Political Science. I actually already took 2 lower div poli sci classes my freshmen year. However, almost all the upper divs have a POLI SCI/PRE POLI SCI restriction in the FIRST PASS enrollment. The restriction is lifted during SECOND pass though. However, during 2nd pass, even if one were to have senior enroll status, the only remaining Poli Sci classes are the ones with hard professors. For instance, at this moment today it is the senior enrollment day and there are only a couple of classes left open and all of them have horrible bruinwalk ratings. Most importantly though, I DON'T GET TO HAVE CHOICES IN CHOOSING WHICH CLASS I WANT TO TAKE!! So if I wanted to take, lets say, American-Soviet Relations 101, I wouldn't be able to and instead would have to settle for "Presidential Logistics 102" because its the only class left open.

As a result, I'm probably going to drop the minor now...I already talked to the Poli Sci Counselor and there's nothing I can do about it. She won't even let me change my major to Pre Poli Sci :(

As a History major, there are only 10 upper div classes, meaning I will only have reached 40/60 units required for graduation. What is one suppose to do? Just take random upper div classes for fun? I would do another minor, but I don't think I can fit it in because I already have to take a year of language and I need to take Econ 1, Math 31A, Stats 10, and possibly Econ 2 (for MPA program I'm applying to). Not to mention I still need to complete 2 more GEs.

Even if I complete my 10 upper divs for history, can I just take 20 more units of History classes and graduate? It doesn't matter right?

how about a minor in statistic? you need to complete a total of 7 uppers division classes. And I think, if you are in the minor, then you can also register for stats class in the first pass.
