March 23: SF Bay Area Science Fair & Science Olympiad REgionals (can't go to both)
April 21: Stanford Campus Visit Weekend and SCience Olympiad States

Hmmm how should I pick? (There's no right or wrong answers obviously, I'm just trying to see what random people online who don't know my personal situation would think off the bat)

Thanks in advance.

I can't help with march 23, but I'd think if you progress to the olympiad states, you could do those and go to most of the admit weekend (19,20,22) since you live in the area. If you choose to do the science fair or don't qualify for state, then problem solved :-D. Good luck.

I agree that you could at least go to the first 2 days of Admit Weekend. Things are more exciting at first... for me, after 2 1/2 days, I felt like I had seen enough. There's tons to do at Stanford and I love it, but if you're just visiting as a prospective student, 2 days is probably adequate.

I went to the SF Bay Area science fair and the state science fair and they're skippable. I'd imagine the science olympiad is more fun.

Have you visited Stanford yet? I'm in SciOly and know what it's like to be competing... I myself have visited already, so it wouldn't be too big of a deal to miss Admit Weekend. If you're sure you want to go to Stanford, or have already visited and have your mind pretty made up, it's not that big of a deal. Admit Weekend is more to convince people to come I think....

But State is pretty big.. Does your team need you bad?

I disagree with this. I think that most people who go have already decided. I feel that the purpose is to meet people, hang out with future/potential classmates, check out dorm life, hear lectures, and all that good stuff. I think that's super important, even if you already know you're coming. Then, there will be more friendly faces to look forward to in September :)
