After not emailing me back about my interview for about a week, I decided to send my interviewer another email, which he didnt respond to. I finally called him at work (at the local west texas university), talked to him, and set up a time and place to meet.

The date of the interview, i arrived at the place 10 minutes early. After 40 minutes went by, he still wasnt there, making him thirty minutes late. Imagine how nervous I was, thinking I had gone to the wrong place or had missed him! I finally decided to call him at his house, and his (very, very young) son answered the phone. I really didnt know how to respond to his (incomprehensible) questions. Finally my interviewer answered the phone and i reminded him who i was. He said he totally forgot about the interview! So he rushed over to the meeting place in about 10 minutes and we got started. Incredibly nervewracking.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences.

Some people aren’t punctual but are still excellent people. Like my math professor. My favorite teacher ever, but he showed up half an hour late to our midterm once. Granted, he showed up with cookies, so it was okay. :D

I hope your interview went well, and that your interviewer was a very interesting person who just isn’t very punctual.

Oh, dont get me wrong, the gentleman was extremely nice. I think he just has his head in the clouds, a very stereotypical college professor. Anyway, the interview went pretty well given the circumstances; he said i would fit well into MIT. I just didnt really know what he looked like so i was scared that every elderly gentleman who left the coffee shop we were at could have been him
