I'm working on that part right now and the question seems very straightforward. I pretty much am just listing all the stuff and how it influenced me or why I did it.

But looking at the number of characters they're allowing us (2000+), are they expecting a much more creative and insightful response? Mine right now sounds nothing like my other essays and I'm sort of worried.

theres been a few threads on this earlier - but i think the general concensus is just to either
1) simply list all of ur activities
2) answer it in little detailed paragraphs allowing you to go in depth into the things that really made your summer unique
and 3) i dont think a lot of ppl answered it creatively, i know a few who did, but never got to see the essays..

personally i did #2 and thought it was the best way to go since afterall, it is a very straightforward question.

I talked about what I did in paragraph form, but it wasn't anything fancy. It was as if I were casually talking about my past 2 summers (using correct words and stuff, so it was more formally casual, actually). Mine was 2400 characters long, and I didn't do anything fancy with it. It wasn't too much like my essays either, nothing too terribly deep.
