Croft Institute

My son is interested in applying to the Croft Institute. He's still working on the special programs and scholarships application so hasn't seen the Croft application yet. What is involved in the Croft application section?

He's got a 3.42 gpa and 31 ACT. I know the Croft Institute is competitive. How likely is he to get accepted? Not sure if the gpa is going to be too low. He is retaking the ACT later this month to try to get a 32.

They will look at everything that he puts forward with the application (resume, essay, recommendation letters, etc). He could overcome the lower GPA if everything else is strong. He needs to convey a genuine interest in International Studies and why he should be accepted. A 32 would make a difference for you scholarship-wise if you’re out of state. That gets full non-resident tuition. Best of luck!!
