Hello! I am a senior and have two weeks to choose a university to attend for the next four years. Right now, ole miss is not my ideal college as far as student life, my campus visit experience and overall rankings. However, I was admitted into the croft program and I am very interested in international studies. If I didn’t go to ole miss, I would attend a different public univeristy, major in international studies but not in a specialized program. Even though I did not like ole miss very much and might be happier at a different school, is the croft institute academically worth it?
Most people who visit Ole Miss are blown away by it. If you didn’t like it when you visited you probably should look elsewhere.
See EarlVanDorn’s post, he hits the nail on the head.
I’m a little late to this convo, but do you mind describing what made you not enjoy the campus visit? Did you talk with people at the Croft Institute when you visited? @lastminutechoice Obviously you should go where you feel the best fit, but sometimes, academic program can be a factor in the decision.
“ole miss is not my ideal college as far as student life, my campus visit experience and overall rankings.” - Move on like the others have stated. It seems you’d be looking for things to disappoint you if you attended. If you didn’t feel like that after your visit you should scratch it off your list. While you were there you should have visited the Croft Institute. Good luck with the others schools, wishing you the best!
