Cross Enrollment (Help...)

Has anyone who is/was in a community college taken a course at SDSU through cross enrollment?

I want to do so this Spring, but I want to hear of some experiences. So far I have the application filled except for the signature of the SDSU professor. Is it easy to get that signature or do I have to beg for it since I am not an actual SDSU student?

The course I want is an upped division GE, so I hope everything is fine. I have 60+ units and good GPA.

Also, who do I submit the completed application to?

Here is a link (with PDF file) for anyone who is iffy on the subject:
San Diego State University, Office of the Registrar

Thank you.

P.S. - I may be able to get the answers from SDSU, but I bet they are swamped around this time of year.

Any signs of life would be nice....

I don't know the answer to your question but I do know out of personal experience that contacting the university directly is the best solution. There's no reason not to contact them; just because they may be swamped does not mean you won't be able to reach somebody who can answer your inquiry.

Just in case anyone needs the info in the future:

1) You need to be enrolled at least 6 units at your host campus (CC)
2) Maximum 1 course at host campus (SDSU)
3) Course can be upper division if you have 60+ units and class is not impacted
4) Must be certified by home campus
5) Must be approved and application signed by professor at host campus [not difficult, for me at least :)]
6) Must submit application to Office of the Registrar at SDSU and pay $10 cash/check [woo hoo!]

There are other little things, but this is the down 'n' dirty.

I took a cross enrollment course at SDSU. I had to fill out papers at comm. college transfer/career center, they will make sure you meet all requirements and give you approval. you then take the paper they give you and crash whatever course you want to take. i'm not sure if you can take upper division courses through cross enrollment though. get the signature from the professor, when i did this the professor had never heard of it so he had me go to the department chair and make sure it was ok. after you get it signed take it to the registrar and pay ten bucks or something, your name will then be added to the class roster.

thx!!! really helpful , cuz i was going to take upper division class.
i hope UCI or. CSUF does the same thing.
