csu Sacramento vs CSU Fullerton

What college is better for civil engineering or engineering in general CSU Sacramento or CSU Fullerton?

Generally speaking, CSUF is a top tier CSU along with Long Beach, SD, and i think SJ is up there. Sac is a middle, average CSU.

I can’t speak too much, in detail about engineering, all I can say is that Sac does its best in criminal justice and nursing. I know it’s supposed to have a better mech engineering program vs it’s other engineering programs.

I think Fullerton is more for business and tech.

Both schools have well respected engineering schools so, there isn’t really a bad choice here. Long Beach has a prettier campus but, Sac is a much cheaper place to live and is closer to snow. If you want to be a Civil Engineer for CalTrans or another state agency, Sac is a very good choice. Bay area tech firms also recruit on campus. If you plan to live in SoCal after you graduate, Long Beach is a better choice as, their on-campus recruiting is pretty regional (that’s not a knock - SoCal is a huge region)
