Cumulative GPA?

<p>Okay, so my counselor showed my transcript GPA today, and it's different (lower by .05) from the one I get by averaging all the final quarter GPAs (which are twelve in total: four for each year but senior year). Am I missing something? Is this how cumulative GPA is calculated? I'm not trying to be picky or anything about a 0.05 difference. I just want my transcript to accurately reflect my high school grades. I know schools may have different grading systems, but I think our system is pretty typical: 4 for As and 5 for As on AP tests and so on.</p>

<p>Your counselor might've used semester or year grades instead of quarter grades -- this can make a difference.</p>
