I attend a Hunter College (CUNY), I am a freshmen and I have a 3.675 gpa from one semester.
1710 on SATs (610-Verbal; 600 Math; 490 Writing). Sat II Results: Literature - 640; History-590.

I have a VERY LOW h.s gpa.(73 ... ?) but the transcript has a few qualities that stand out, such as a 98 on my u.s history regents (substantially different from SATs because this was when the information was fresh in my head). I received many 45s and 55s because I did not attend class regularly. My transcript is a joke and I am wondering what my chances are at some SUNYs- Geneseo, Binghamton, New Paltz, Oneonta and Stony Brook.

I have already applied to some non-traditional schools that ask for supplementary materials to hopefully lower the weight of my h.s transcript.

Does anyone have any other school suggestions? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi! Stony Brook would probably want to wait until your second semester is complete; assuming you're still in the 3.6 range, you'll be admitted with that. Once you've completed 24 credits, we don't look at high school grades or SAT scores any more, just your college coursework.

Admitting you didn't attend class regularly in high school isn't a good thing; that'd probably scare us. But if you completed one year of college, and you were very successful and took a regular load (a full schedule, with no fluff courses), then we'd never even ask for your high school info.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions!
