I was wondering, there are so many people transferring within the Ivy League, Am I absolutely hopeless in the case I apply as a Transfer Student?
Let me introduce myself:

I am Daniel, Korean-Argentinian, green card holder, who came to the United States two years ago approximately.
I speak/write Spanish natively and I am fluent in Korean as well.
I am learning Russian in this semester (even though my foreign language requirement are fulfilled because of my native language)
Although I'm not enrolled in any "college leadership" program or student unions, I have been working in the real world gaining experience in several areas in many fields of business, since I like the challenge of adapting myself in different environments. (Funeral Home, liquor store, photographer, translator, etc...)
I studied five semesters approximately of International Business in Argentina, and now I'm transferred to Queens College, CUNY, trying to pursue the major of Finance. Right now I am Upper Sophomore.
I wasn't required to take SAT or TOEFL to get into CUNY since I am a green card holder (toefl exempted, even though English it is not my first language) and I am a international transfer student (no SAT required, quite an interesting case, huh?), but I don't mind taking SAT or TOEFL if required.
My first semester in America I got a lousy 3.055 GPA, but now in this fall I am very confident that I'm gonna ace all my 5 subjects.

How real are my chances to get transfered to Wharton, does it worth a try?
Should I send a email to xfers@admissions.upenn.edu asking this, or is it a waste of time?

Thank you very much,
Daniel
