Curious about chances

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you could rate my chances.
I'm a junior right now.

GPA: 4.0 (school doesnt do weighted)
PSAT: 233
SAT: 740 CR 740 M 730 WR (very disappointing from Jan.)
SAT 2: 800 U.S Hist. (math, chem, physics, lit, ect. coming up)
ACT: are they really needed?
No rank, but about 2 or 3/450 if you ask me.

APs:
5 U.S hist
Currently in Chem AP, 11 English AP. (99% and 98% respectively)
Next year: Bio AP, Physics C AP, 12 English AP, Calc BC
(not very AP heavy as you can see)

-4 years Varsity Track, Captain this year, upcoming captain next year as well.

I was not able to take multiple AP classes early through several technicalities with my school. Also volunteering falls a little short. Captain duties take up most of my time. Is this a worthy tradeoff? Neuroscience is my passion though. Oh yes I am also Chinese.
Thanks.

Schools:
Princeton
Johns Hopkins
MIT

Great shot in all schools! But provided that you are a US citizen.

and as for MIT, really hard to get in if you're ASIAN AND MALE.

oh, to be more specific:
1. Princeton- 35% (may not seem that high, but it's really high since other applicants mostly have 8% or less chance of admittance)
2. MIT- (depends on your social/ethnical factors)
3. JHU-99%

Princeton is difficult for everyone. They only accept about 10%, and your stats (although they are excellent) don't really set you apart. I would say 25% @ Princeton, 35% @ MIT, and 60% @ JHU. You definitely need safeties, as JHU is more of a match.

Ah thanks. I'm open to suggestions too, as for which schools I would fit in with.

make sure that you apply ED to your favorite school...then i would think you would have a great shot for Princeton/JHU

Hm all right. How much do you guys think sports plays into all this? I mean if your academics are pretty good and they might be able to use you for their team, how much would it tip admission to your favor?

well if you are getting recruited by a school, it can boost up your chances a lot if they like you.

bump bump bump

omg u nerdz

Getting recruited would make all the difference at P and M. You're probably OK at Hopkins as is. At the latter 2, there are many, many candidates like you and being an asian with average SATs and ECs makes it hard. Work on the coaches!

you're john liu?
