Currently attending De Anza, want to transfer to UCB or UCLA

Hey everyone,

I've been really stressed lately and wanted to get some advice for you guys. So here are a few points before I begin:

I go to De Anza CC (quarter system)

Fall of 2010 was my first quarter

By the end of this quarter, I will have 51 units (90 needed to transfer)

I am a business/econ major

I have one (1) W on my transcript for a Philosophy class, and that will be my last (stupid mistake on my part)

So as far as units, I think I'm on track. By the end of this quarter, my GPA will be between a 3.79 - 3.84.

I am becoming a Secretary for a club next fall, and will also be starting my own club related to my major this quarter.

1) So far, how do things look for UCLA and UCB? Any suggestions you guys have for me? Any other schools that would be good for business/econ?

2) Should I slow down a little, and possibly be at De Anza for a total of 3 years? Reason I ask is that with calculus and such next quarter, I'm assuming it may be a bit harder for me to load up on classes like this quarter. Or should I really shoot to get out of CC within 2 years total?

3) I was thinking of applying to NYU. Bad idea? Good idea? I mean, would it be a waste of money seeing as I'd have to be pay out of state for the first year?

Thanks in advance everyone

4) Have any of you gotten into UCLA/UCB business/econ? If so, what was your GPA, and what extra curriculars did you take part in?
