Commended (national cutoff) = 201

GMABCD - we’re in Nassau County, NY. I had called my daughter’s GC a couple of days ago & he called back yesterday saying that he had the packet. Did you try calling your sons school? He’s definitely in with a 220. Congrats!

Per GC, CA cut-off is 218.

Thanks for the info. That’s what we figured here at home as we waited with a 217. :)

@ descartesz

I love your presentation of info using bold vs regular print

Also, the list of non-reported states at the bottom – very clear and organized!

Wish we had something more definitive from CT. My s has friends on pins and needles!

sjegl1, so funny we are in nassau county as well in Jericho. justed called guidance counselor but she never answers her phone. left a message —excited to find out. Probably more excited than my son. Ha Ha.

My son checked with his GC this morning, and she “looked through her mail” but couldn’t find anything. He has a 213 which was the cutoff in Oregon for the past three years, so Mom is on pins & needles.
Do all school receive notification, or just those with semifinalists. We’re a small rural school and my son is probably the only one in the possible range.
Thanks!

I’ve been following this discussion with interest hoping that someone from Idaho would jump in with notification info. Our daughter checked with her counselor and was told that the school won’t release the NMSF packets until September 15th! I hope all Idaho schools aren’t holding onto the packets that long. Thanks to spursfanmom for posting the essay prompt so that D can be thinking about what she’ll write in the event she makes the cut.

In Mass. Mys s got a 222 in 2008 and missed the cut. My d has a 222 this year and is on the bubble again. When my S took the test we thought it was just practice. He got 2350 on the SATs and is in a baby IVY and he says it didn’t matter anyway. Unless you are counting on merrit money he is right and the schools my d is interested in don’t offer any.

But I still am eager to find out in spite of my rationalizations…

Wait, so is the california cutoff 218 or 220? Because descartez changed it when he/she reposted the scores…

IL is 214. Have a friend with a 214 who got it.

I think the cutoff for CA is 218. We had two confirmations on this news thread. But ofcourse, no one has confirmed receiving a package with a 218 cutoff yet from CA. Lets hope someone can confirm soon.

D got the ‘package’( one page with username and password to finish everything online), WA cutoff is 218

Updated Indiana score.

212.

Was told I made it from a guidance counselor. At best that would be = from last year

Any word from the ‘New England Boarding Schools’ or ‘International’ categories?

Utah <=205

California Semifinalist here and I got a 219, don’t know of anyone with a 218 that qualified.

Made it in Nevada with a 211
