So a "friend" of mine might end up with a D senior year. Basically my "friend" wants to know the policy on this. I know that the provisional contract says no Ds or Fs, and GPA must be above 3.0 unweighted. But just thought I ask (for him). :D

..if you can avoid it, AVOID IT!!!
having never been in that situation, i can't comment on what you should do if it happens... but you've got two months to get your grade up so i HIGHLY suggest you get a move on.
my counselor's UC horror story: girl has severe drop in senior year grades, girl graduates, girl enjoys summer looking forward to going to a UC (not UCLA but i forget which), meanwhile UC has sent disappointed letter to the high school, but school office is out for the summer, letter sits on desk until late august...
...girl goes to community college xD

believe me i'm doing all i can to avoid it. I'm just preparing for the worst. Thanks for the anecdote.

Btw, the class is an AP class, if that changes anything

...i wouldn't think it does lol.
good luck to you!
AP classes generally have grade-boosting projects after the AP test, however, right?
i brought my AP calculus grade up from a D- to a solid B my last semester. trust me, if i can do that, you can too! :)

I don't think AP changes anything. I had a friend who got a D in AP Bio in his senior year, and UCSB rescinded his admissions so he wound up attending community college for two years and transferred into UCSB this year

The year isnt over yet, so don't give up

I have a friend that got a D in ap physics last year 2nd semester and got his admission taken away to UCSD. he now goes to a community college. Don't risk it and bring that grade up!

:-0 Wow, I'm really glad I dropped my class (only from Calc BC to AB, didn't affect my acceptance) instead of possibly getting a D.
