Screwed by a D? Pending revoked admissions

My little bro got a D in Calculus BC 1st semester senior year.

His gpa just met the minimum 3.0.

Now... this is open to speculation.... but do you think UCLA would revoke his acceptance if he passes Calc BC this semester?

What do you guys think? Do you guys know any older people that have been in this situation?

What happens to people who accept UCLA's acceptance, and then..... at the VERY end of senior year, get one D in a class.....?
Do they get their admissions revoked? because that would mean they have nowhere to go except to a community college since they would have turned down all the other UC's offers....

someone from my high school got a D in calc AB during her senior year first semester. she still got into UCLA.

tell him to maintain or up his 3.0 and pass calc BC.

If the D was actually the semester score, he has to report it to the admissions office. Generally, just one low grade won't affect the admission, but he will likely be put on academic probation for the first quarter or two.

Check out this site:

As the site notes, he should report it as soon as possible...

yeah, he reported it already.

and then his status went from 'accepted' to 'pending'.

his study habits are bad. it's probably going to be a tough ride for him at ucla.

Well, the official word is...... UCLA is reviewing his situation.

They basically said,

"if you don't hear back from us by the May deadline, you're f***ed. Go to another school."

Screwed by an AP class? Who woulda thunk it?

Sorry to hear that... But best of luck to ur brother.
