D first semester Senior Year

I applied to CSU Fullerton last semester. At the time, my GPA (not including classes I was currently taking) was 2.91. This wasn’t the best, but I had decent SAT scores (Reading: 730 Math: 750) which led me to believe I had a chance of being accepted. However, at the end of the semester my AP Physics grade dropped from a C- to a D+. Does this mean I won’t be accepted into CSU Fullerton? My other grades for the semester were 2 C’s and 1 B. I also took 2 University Studies classes but have yet to receive the grades.

Another thing that has been bothering me is that I submitted my application fairly late into the application period. How negatively does this affect my chances of getting in?

If it is a required a-g course (2 years of lab science) then you are out. If you’ve got your ‘d’ science requirement fulfilled with other courses, then, maybe.

All applications submitted before the deadline receive the same consideration. First day or last day has no impact at Fullerton. That said, unless you are local, you are a marginal candidate - depending on the applicant pool, it could go either way.

I’d contact them ASAP, see where you stand and start thinking about a plan B.
