D in precalculus second semester of senior year! help

so my average gpa is a 2.84 and i got accepted to cal poly pomona. Now i'm getting my same grades and all, but i have a D in precalculus and there is no way to raise it up with only a week and a half left of school. Will a school like Cal Poly Pomona rescind my admission with that D in precalc?

Only Cal Poly admissions can tell you. Call them right away.

It is best to notify them asap either by email or phone. I was in your situation a couple of weeks ago and I notified UC Berkeley weeks in advance before my grades were finalized, and they were very helpful. I suggest you do the same. You will most likely not get your admission rescinded if you confront them about your grade before they see your transcript.

Thanks, so i contacted them and they said because it’s not on my a-g requirement they won’t look at that grade as hard, and they most likely won’t rescind if its just 1 D. woo :D

Glad to hear things worked out!

As a note for the future, there are books like the “Calculus Problem Solver” that are like SAT review books for subjects such as Economics, Calculus, Chemistry, etc. Just about any class that can have worked problems. Many students find it helpful to get books that match their classes and work problems on their own until they can get the right answers easily. Figure in many college classes good students are spending 6-10 hours each week outside of class studying, doing homework, doing practice problems. These books are a great source of practice problems.
