<p>Anyone out there also applied to the DAAD Rise program for summer 2013?
The results are supposed to come out "at the beginning of March"...and the waiting is killing me!!!
Anyone who heard something from them PLEASE share info here, it will be much appreciated. And any former rise interns can feel free to pitch in your thoughts on the program and share your experience, thanks a lot!</p>
<p>I have been looking on the internet and they are sending out acceptances. I have seen one person say they have been accepted on another forum, but fro what I can tell from previous years some people have found out really late. So hopefully we still have a chance!</p>
<p>I had applied to the DAAD RISE professional 2013 program. I did get a notification saying that DAAD has recommmended me as a candidate for the internship and the company has to make a final approval. I do not know whether to take this as a yes or a no. But, I am not sure whether the results for RISE and RISE Pro come out at the same time.</p>

Well based on previous years, a lot of people get notified around 3.11-12. And there will be a facebook group created (not sure by interns themselves or by official DAAD Rise program) once there are people accepted, so I’ve been checking facebook to see if there’s a DAAD Rise 2013 group created…lol</p>

<p>A friend of mine got an acceptance email on March 4th. I started freaking out when I didn’t have one in my inbox, but apparently they are personalized. I also saw the comments on previous threads that said some people found out a week or two after others in previous years. So I’m still checking my email about 50 times a day…</p>

<p>the phd researcher i had personally corresponded a lot with told me i was ranked first but was not matched with him. this was the first or second day of march. i don’t think i really have a chance with either of the other two i applied for. oh well, c’est la vie.</p>

<p>Oh that’s too bad mammamia, and yes their selection process/algorithm/method/whatever is kind of confusing…but in my understanding, if you’re his top choice and you aren’t matched with him, you might have already been matched to a more “popular” program before his program’s turn to choose, if that makes any sense…
