I was wondering about this dance audition at the bottom of their page, here [Muhlenberg College Department of Theatre and Dance | Admission](http://www.muhlenberg.edu/depts/theatre/admission.htm)

Is this for theatre majors too (i.e. MT people?) or is the Dance audition mainly for prospective dance majors?

thanks.

When my D auditioned for MT she only did a song/monolouge.

That's what my daughter did also but it's worth a phone call to find out if those who intend to major in theater can also do the dance audition. I suspect, however, that receiving an award would be limited to those who intend to major in dance but, because they are BA programs, perhaps a student could be a dual theater and dance major and be favorably considered for both scholarships.

At the bottom of the dance audition form it asks if you are interested in the theatre dept as well. My D is a MT kid with a strong interest in dance. We were interested in the dance audition and then hoping to make an appointment for an interview and do a song/mono audition but we are not able to make any of the 3 dates. My D will be calling this week to set up an interview and audition and then perhaps bring in a tape for the dance portion.

I think the website says that if you can't make one of the schedules dance audition dates that you can call the dance department to schedule another date. The theatre auditions are by appointment so perhaps you can combine the two on one date.

According to Professor Richter, one is free to do the dance as well as theatre auditions, though the dance also has a minute or two solo as well, which is different than regular MT dance auditions.
