Danger of being revoked?

I was recently accepted into University of Washington Seattle in the freshman class of 2014. I just found out yesterday that my transcripts were being sent to the official review board, due to some academic problems I had. In my senior year, I got an F in my AP Chemistry class both semesters, I honestly tried my hardest. But due to a crappy teacher, along with completely underestimating the course and workload, along with some other personal issues, I fell behind and couldn't catch up. My other grades were fine, I got a C, B and 2 A's.

To try and fix it I took an equivalent chemistry at a nearby community college and got an A! I even received transfer credit at University of Washington for that course. I'm writing a letter to the review board right now, but I'm really scared. I went to the Orientation, I signed up for housing, I even have my classes set up and ready to go. Will I be rescinded for sure? or is there still a chance?

if you hadn’t retaken the class and gotten college credit for it, i’d be worried. but since you did it shouldn’t be a problem.

so you think there’s a good chance then? Should I still write that letter?

How do you know that you are in danger of being revoked?

Did they send you a letter/e-mail?

I highly doubt they’ll revoke you. I wouldn’t write the letter myself if what you said about the college credit is true, but if it makes you feel better, go for it. They won’t revoke you for writing an explanation letter.

It showed on my MyUW, it said I had an administrative hold on my account. When I called in, they said it was because of my final transcripts, and that they were going through a review process. They said there was a possibility, however small, that I might be rescinded.

Hey Anonymous1992, what part of your MyUW did it show up on?

It showed up on the homepage, a little dialog box above my current class schedule.

I dont want to give you false hope, but if you have not recieved a letter informing you of a withdrawl of offer of admission your are fine, I know because I recieved one on July 16th for failing a class and getting 3 D’s my second semester (I was accepted to UW). Also in the letter the date to appeal is july 30th so it wouldnt be fair if they rescinded you without giving you a chacne to appeal like the others so you are 99% fine

Thanks a lot everyone for the comments!

UPDATE: I just got a letter today from UDub thanking me for the letter and saying how it helped clear up the situation. I’m now good to go, and will be attending Fall Quarter. Just want to emphasize, to anyone who needs it, how important writing that letter was, that was probably one of the main reasons this got cleared up so fast!

congrats, anonymous! I’m sure you can breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy the rest of your summer. See you in the fall!
