Anyone here from Dartmouth Bound?
@screamingkettle Just received a similar email too.
Posting of emails is not allowed per Terms of Service.
I had accidentally listed the same investment under one person on the FAFSA and a different person on the CSS, a dumb mistake. Dartmouth sent me an email with the names of the owners and the money amount and asked me to clarify who owns the account and change it on my FAFSA.
@screamingkettle I got a similar email because I had left something blank on the FAFSA not realizing that instead I had to write a 0 to indicate no amount. I won’t get my hopes up but it’s nice that Dartmouth is still acknowledging my presence
@potentialdropout that’s such great news! I’m trying to not get my hopes up but its difficult
Is it bad that I turned in my IDOC pretty late?
@screamingkettle By the looks of it, you only get that kind of email if you did something wrong on your financial aid application. I don’t think it has any meaning specifically. And most of us don’t know how they REALLY review the applications anyway.
Well, it depends how late. I submitted mine pretty late and I was worried as well. After contacting the financial aid office, I was told there is no penalty for late submission. Obviously they prefer it early yet, they won’t deny you because of it.
Mine was “received” by them on the 26th. I’m hoping based on the fact that it says received on my applicant portal that all is well.
Does anyone recall if your Dartmouth admissions portal page ever mentioned ED applicant status at the outset? Just asking because of some of the commentary on other threads here about changing portal language indicating deferral. Can’t recall if it ever mentioned ED applicant status at the outset.
On my art supplement, it has as ED APPLICANT banner at the top of the page, but nowhere else on my portal.
@screamingkettle – See that reference to ED Applicant as well on the art supplement page. Thx!
I have no indication of ED Applicant on my portal except within the checklist with the ED agreement received.
@SnatchCat – Good catch! Yes, me too! I suspect the BU hysteria regarding changed portal text is not applicable to the Dartmouth portal. Just panicked for a minute
I don’t know… guess we’ll find out in a week
I actually tried to see from reviewing the 2022 ED thread. Does sound like when you log into the portal there is some sort of announcement right when you log-in. But not entirely clear from the discussion. so I guess we will see!
@Hopper2019 did you see how many on the 2022 thread were deferred? It was super depressing. I hope this thread does better!
@moomom2 – Completely agree. So incredibly depressing
Anyone here whose date of submission of financial aid materials has changed?
