@beerays The fin aid email was just to make sure everyone is on the same page. Did you send in the CSS Profile yet? Also, I wouldn’t expect to see those kind of CCers on the Dartmouth thread!

@icepierre I unfortunately have seen those CCers on a Dartmouth thread (not this one) their resumes scared me so much I was freaking out for a week straight about my chances.

Good luck everyone! I hope we all see each other next year in Hanover!

So… Did you get in @AllyZieMage? (Assuming that was last year)

Ahhh nvm @AllyZieMage I misinterpreted your comment

Does anyone know when they usually release the decisions? Like what time during the day on the 12th?

@swimmer4lyfe I think it’s usually in the afternoon, around 4 p.m. That’s when it was last year, at least.

And about the physical acceptance letters, what about internationals like us? @justkt9314 And you mean EST?

@cauldroncastle Yes, EST.

@swimmer4lyfe Are you going to swim at Dartmouth?

Soooo…did anyone get the alumni interview?

I did, it was very last minute. The Thursday before the deadline (Monday) I was messaged by an interviewer. In SoCal only 53% of applicants are interviewed so I was very lucky.

How do you know the per centage that get interviewed?

I had an interview the day after Thanksgiving… Pretty late, but it was nice to speak with an alumna. Don’t stress if you did not get one. It does not matter really as far as admissions (unless it goes horribly wrong).

If I’ve a very good recommendation from a C.Sc. professor at the college, extremely good E.C.s, would a SAT I score of 2190 (1530 in Math + C.R.) be an issue? I have 1600 in Math II and Physics, combined? Just a tad anxious before the results.

I think your SAT will not make a huge difference as you have great ECs, but can we please not make this into that kind of thread? Good luck, though!

I had mine the Friday before Thanksgiving (the 21st?) and it went really well. It was pretty informal and lasted a little over an hour. I think the best part was getting to ask the alumna questions about her experience at Dartmouth. I’m from New England though, so I was basically expecting an interview with so many alumni in the area (and, my mom is a Dartmouth alumni interviewer and said that they always have enough interviewers for ED applicants in my area). But, both my mom and the interviewer pointed out that it’s really not a big deal if you aren’t interviewed, and tons of kids are admitted every year without one.

icepierre, thanks, and apologies. I just didn’t want to make an entire new thread of it.

Cheers, and all the best to everyone!

I went into a presentation and they specifically mentioned the percentage.

I had my interview November 2nd.
