***Dartmouth Class of 2020 RD Applicant Thread***

@Fuzerabit I did!

What were your stats? @lychrel

What is Dartmouth Bound?

@Le1997
Haha me too!
That solidified my decision to apply. Wondering if any Dartmouth bound peeps will get a likely. Where are you from?
I’m from PA.

Yeah, I went in thinking I wouldn’t like Dartmouth but I ended up loving it! I’m from TX. And for those that don’t know Dartmouth Bound is a fly-in program.

Ditto. Wasn’t even on my radar and was sad to only have a few days!
Good luck fam and maybe we will get good news soon!

Fly-in? Like for pilots?

No. Where the school flies you in to experience what the school offers.
Look up diversity fly in programs.

My son also participated in Dartmouth Bound. Dartmouth was not on his list until he returned from the program. Wonderful experience!!

Had some fairly solid essays, I think, and my recs were probably great. I think the interview helped, too. It probably couldn’t have gone much better than it did. Me and my interviewer really hit it off (listening to the same sort of music, finishing each other’s sentences about the existential impulses behind creation, etc.).

I thought it was a rejection at first, the letter was so small. Quite an awesome surprise.

Anyone know when decisions were released last year and/or the year before? How likely are we to hear this month?

@rbandrews We hear back on March 31st at around 5 in the afternoon

Good luck, everyone! From the research I’ve been doing before and since getting the letter Dartmouth seems like a really cool place. I chatted the IT desk to ask about Linux and we ended up talking about everythng from Python to Mandarin.

IMHO, this is an awesome place; very unique - no other school such an opportunity.

Imagine a school which offers the opportunity that you can redefine your own degree and the school will provide resources to accomplish it. What an unique opportunity?

Did anyone receive an email from the financial aid office with the following message?

"Dear _____,

Although the Admissions Committee is still deliberating, the Financial Aid Office is currently reviewing Class of 2020 documents. We want to ensure that when candidates are selected for admission, we will have sufficient information on file to make a financial aid decision. Your application is currently incomplete. Please check online for detailed information."

@scholcol Did you check the financial aid checklist on your application portal? I can see the financial aid office sending you a message if some things have not been completed.

I didn’t receive that, but I’ve been obsessive about checking my financial aid portals.

@mjstewart1224 What change would you anticipate seeing in your financial aid portal?

Many schools have requested addition forms or information from. So I check every day to make sure there hasn’t been anything new added to the required list of forms they want. If I’m accepted, I want to know my aid package ASAP!

I received a likely letter!
