get over it, dartmouth sux anyways

Columbia:
i put extraordinary effort into my app, as im sure everyone else did, and im also confident that i was more than qualified. but i got rejected straight out. your posts are sounding arrogant and insensitive so why not just tone it down?

i agree with britkid

What if we tried writing down all the things that weren't so great about Dartmouth?

Never found the frat thing that appealing.
Probably a lot of jocks and rich kids I wouldn't connect with that well.
Sucky area.
No quirky vibe to it.

wow, those are actually all the reasons i wanted to go there.

but seriously, i didnt want to go there that much, the nh thing is the only problem, come on upenn/duke

wow, so much rape

You guys should have applied to NYU instead, because I just got into Stern! Yipppppeeeeeeeeeee~

rejected......HELLO CORNELL!

Looks like Dartmouth's transfer committee ripped everyone a new one this year. And I'm pretty sure Columbia wasn't admitted outright because he's an arrogant prick. No one is entitled to admission at Dartmouth, regardless of how good they feel their stats and ECs are.

People like that need to stay out of my school, dammit.

got rejected -dizamn should have applied to more schools.

wow.. no one got into dartmouth yet?

I do not think I am arrogant. I just think I was qualified for admission. I have proven myself multiple times already. I view myself as less of a liability than someone else who may have not had the chance to attend a rigorous undergrad school.

FYI, Columbia is unequivocally my top choice. Good luck to everyone!

that sucks- everyone was rejected?

Oh well. I've already gotten over it.

Ehh still not completely over it actually. Dumb college thinks its better than us transfer students, lol

waitlisted

rejected... but whom am i kiddin.. I don't really care for dartmouth anyway

Columbia, I do hope nobody here has any doubt that you were qualified for Dartmouth -- but I bet half those who were rejected were just as qualified, and some perhaps more qualified. It's not as much a "can you jump this bar? or how about this bar?" sort of game -- it's a puzzle. You're a great piece; maybe you just didn't fit right. At least, that's what I told myself when I was rejected massively last year for freshman admissions, and that's what I will probably tell myself this year if I'm rejected for transfer (already got in one place, though, so I'm a happy clam). Did you apply anywhere else but Columbia and Dartmouth? And where are you trying to move out of?

And transnational, what's wrong with New Hampshire (my beloved home state)? Live free or die! :P

Columbia post your stats, let us judge you

For security reasons, I will not disclose any personal information on a public forum. What I will say is that my gpa is near a 4.0. I attend a school that is ranked between 8-15 on US News. My SATs are between a 1400-1500. I was ranked within the top 5 percent in my competitive high school. Have 4 SAT IIs between 700 and 800. Very solid E.C.s, including research and some other community service activities. To my knowledge, I had strong and compelling essays. And the reason why I want to transfer is a very personal one. It has absolutely nothing to do with prestige. I turned down some very prestigious schools 2 years ago to attend the one I do now (which is also quite prestigious!).

FYI you sound like a tool... just a thought
