Dartmouth Early Decision Class of 2021

how many people do you guys think applied ED?

@jkennyy it’s usually around 2000

Did anyone else notice that the letter said “after” 4pm… that means it might not even be right when we expect :((

@17staffene I think it means we can access it anytime after 4pm. Maybe I’m wrong but other colleges seem to have been right on time

Where will y’all be opening your decisions?! X_X

@geisel1797 Unfortunately it will be in the middle of my Calc BC class so either directly after that, or i might wait until i get home becausey parents want to be there

@geisel1797 maybe arriving home from my internship

@Erikj28 Same, it will also be in the middle of my class… though I don’t think I will be able to wait an extra 1-2 hours until I get home to check! :((

@dartagnaneb do you think nursing will help with admission? I’m opening my decision at home, my mom is insisting I call her before hand.

I’ll be leading an afterschool activity or on my way to D.C for my internship.

I have a Spanish test that period so I’m going to finish that as fast as humanly possible and then check it

So, people are saying decisions have already been made, but in the email they said they are in the final stages of reviewing. Are they still looking through applications? I realize it doesn’t matter & that I should just wait until Wednesday, but I’m nervous

I will be packing up/ cleaning my dorm before leaving for Winter break.

@figureskater2 In the Q&A livestream, they said final deliberations would be made last friday. It’s definitely possible they’re still weighing an applicant or two, but the vast majority of the ED admits have been selected.

@kaitefoxfire It certainly wouldn’t hurt, but I don’t think it would give you a boost above any other applicant who pursued their interests.

@geisel1797 Our school building is undergoing renovations, and I’ll be volunteering to help a teacher transfer her classroom out to the “learning cottages” (aka the plethora of trailers that occupies what used to be student parking). She’s graciously said I can check my decision when it comes out though.

Most people on CC are middle to high class, so where are you guys going for winter break ?

I knew I wanted Dartmouth the summer of eighth grade.

@BGMuleri I am actually lower middle class, I live in a family of seven with around 75k income.

Would you all agree that a large majority of us have or have had internship positions? Why doesn’t everyone share what they’re doing!

I’m an electrical engineering intern at Logitech where i’ve been working on volume step efficiency for some of their portable bluetooth speakers and high-fidelity surround sound systems.

And @BGMuleri I’all be spending the holiday at our beach cabin on the Oregon Coast!

@GiddyHiddy I’m sorry I made an assumption the general vibe I’ve gotten from my time on CC is that most people here are either fat stacked legacies or regular people.

@BGMuleri Lol, well, that may be true, but I just stay home. I live in a pretty medial school district, but personally I will be at home working on my Extended Essay and HL IA’s.

@Erikj28 How does one get an internship? I am interested in that.
