Dartmouth ED alumni interviews?

bump..... !!!!!

yah bump!!!!! I posted that comment as a reply and it seems to have gotten posted above... wierd....

I was just contacted for my alumni interview last Friday and scheduled it for tomorrow so I'm assuming other people should start hearing from alums in their area as well. I also applied ED if that helps put things into perspective; I hope everyone hears soon!

CLEARKER

many interviewers have to realize there is a ed pool and should do those
students first .... my son 08 had night of thankgiving
report after interview and let us know your opinion if it was worthwhile
but again, other applicants DONT WORRY if you do not get an interview..see my earlier post

hope I get one soon enough!!!

generic you r in nepal right ...? I am in India ... Alumni interviews depend upon the presence of an alumni close to where we live .... So, we might not get an interview at all....

Yeah I realize that ED applicants are being contacted first, which is why I mentioned that I had applied ED and to let other EDers know. The interview went really well and I think it was worth it just to be able to ask questions about someone's personal experience at the school, but as far as actually helping or hurting my application I don't feel like the alumni interview is really going to do much since I hear they're not very influential in the final decision. Nonetheless I really enjoyed my interviewer and am very glad to have had the opportunity to meet with her.

and the fact that you enjoyed your interviewer reinforced that you made the right choice with Dartmouth..you will continue to meet great, enthusiastic dartmouth grads ....good luck with decembers email

I was contacted several weeks ago and had my interview on the 21st. However, there is a strong alumni base where I live and I've been in contact with several of them for quite a while.

I live in Florida and I haven't been contacted. I applied ED.

i got called the other day and have one on tuesday

damn!!!! still waiting!!

i've just accepted that i'm not gonna have one. i still want one tho

My D applied ED last year. She was called for an alumni interview a few hours AFTER she heard she was accepted. She said thank you, but I'm all set! Please don't worry if you aren't called. It doesn't matter one bit.

Does anyone know the earliest date that we could potentially hear an admissions decisions? Also, are they going to send us an e-mail when the decision is posted on the status site or will we just have to check compulsively as the time draws nearer?

They will send you an e-mail telling you the date and time decisions will be on line. You'll need to know the pin # they sent you. Last year it was December 8th at 3PM.

and the year before it was the 9th. so i'm gonna hope it's sometime next week because i wanna know!!!!!!!!!!

that's so crazy that in a few weeks we may know where we'll be for the next four years

So most likely it will be sometime next week? That's frightening.

yah.. hopefully acceptance comes soon.. yep its frightening to know I just might be going to a college so far away for four years... more so, it's all in my hands in terms of getting there or not! :D
