hello everyone i’ve been silently stalking this thread for months now and wanted to join in on the fun with less than 2 days left. highly doubt i’ll get in but best of luck to you all!
welcome @daring451! the more the merrier
Does every acceptance letter start with “congratulations”? How do defferal and rejection letters usually start? lol, just curious
@simonbolivar I googled what the acceptance letter starts with and it looks like it’s “congratulations”. Hopefully all of us will get to read that word at 4PM EST on Wednesday!
Hey guys I have also been watching this thread for about a month now and just want to say good luck to everyone in the final days! Wherever you guys end up (hopefully Dartmouth of course), you will do great things!
@windwater66 Thank you!!
Do you all think that the financial aid office is aware of our admissions decisions already?? Like they would have to be, right??
@dinolove Most likely considering that ED financial aid packages are supposed to come with your decision. That is probably why they needed an extra day or two
@dinolove Yeah, they are.
SO, out of curiosity, what do u think the Admissions people are doing these days? I mean they probably have finalized the class, right? So, what do they actually do now prior to Wednesday?
For Harvard, it seems that the rejected students found out first, then the deferred students and finally the accepted students. Do you think this will also be true for Dartmouth?
@nerdking I don’t think so, most colleges don’t do that
@nerdking No idea. But I hope they release everyone’s at the same time.
Okay thanks y’all!
@simonbolivar If I were a financial aid officer I would either be sitting on college confidential to see what students are saying, binge watching netflix, or reading a really good book so that I can forget about applications.
@dinolove lol, so true
I just keep turning to my friends and whispering how much time I have left until decisions are out… My AP Bio and AP Physics C finals are Wednesday. Hey, just curious, how do you guys’ schools do the AP sciences? Most kids at my school do pre ap bio freshman year, pre ap chem sophomore year, pre ap physics junior year, and pick an AP to do their senior year. And does everyone do Physics C? Anyone do mechanics and E&M together? We don’t, we only do mechanics throughout the year so we can be more laid back.
@coolestnerdever yeah i do AP Mech. we barely touch on electrical until the end of the year.
Also, finally decided to join in on the fun. Good luck everyone!
@coolestnerdever At my school we can do honors bio 9, honors chem 10, then I did AP Chem and AP Physics 1 in 11 and AP Bio and AP Environmental Science in 12.
The High School I attend allows students to mix-and-match upon request, but the standard for Advanced Students is Pre-AP Bio -> Pre-AP Chem OR Pre-AP Chem and AP Physics (double-up), AP Physics OR AP of your choosing, AP of your choosing.
This year my sciences include AP Bio, Medical Microbiology and Pathophysiology, and AP Environmental Science.
