Dartmouth ED Class of 2020

SirPepsi, what part of TX are you from?

my schools does it as follows:
9: pre-pre-AP chem & pre-AP physics
10: pre-AP bio & pre-AP chem
11: AP chem & AP physics1
12: AP bio & AP physics 2

Are all your schools private? My school’s public and we barely have the room to get our top pick science class… it’s very rare to be able to take two in one year.
For us its typically Bio, Honors Chem, then Honors Anatomy and Physiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, Marine Bio, Honors Physics, AP Bio, AP Physics C, AP Chem, or AP Environmental Science for your junior and senior years.

I go to a public school!!! :ar!

@collegegirl000, I’m from West TX. What about you?

@CO2020Vision, No, I attend a Public School with a total enrollment between 2500 and 3000.

How many classes do you all take per year?

@SirPepsi I’ve been to West Texas before, El Paso specifically. I wasn’t there for very long but I did a really intense hike/rock climb there which was fun.

I take 8 classes each year, though the school allows Seniors to drop to 4 if they work, 6 if they’d like to. If you really wanted to, you could take up to 10 classes (a 0 and 9th period), but very few courses would be available to pick from.

@norcaltraveler, that’s where I live  It’s a humble town, but it’s growing and we’re doing our best to get up to par with the rest of the country in terms of infrastructure, wealth distribution, etc.

I go to a private school and we can take either earth science or honors biology freshman year (I took hn bio) and then either hn Chem or regular chem sophomore year, AP Bio or Hn. Anatomy junior year and AP Physics senior year. It’s very very rare for us to be able to take 2 sciences in the same year since we have to fit in a religion class every semester too

I go to a private school as well. I’m in the IB Diploma program so I’m required to take 7 classes both junior and senior year.

ahh i had a dream last night that I got deferral but even then thats probably too optimistic hahah

at my school ap bio is the hardest science class you can take. we didn’t even have ap physics last year, just pre-ap. but ap bio is sooo hard and only 15 kids take it each year aka 1% of the school

@norcaltraveler I’m in the IB too! What classes you taking?

I go to a private school too, and here, as surprising as it sounds, not many people know about the Ivy League or the other top, great schools.

I also take the IB. I’m really glad I do, since it’s rigorous enough so that the students don’t crash and burn when they go to college.

I go to a Catholic private school. The way we do our sciences is pretty strange. All freshman have to take a one trimester course called Physical Sciences. Then sophomore year, you take Bio or Honors Bio. Junior year, Chem or Honors Chem. And senior year you can choose between AP Physics B, Honors Physics, AP Biology, Honors Anatomy, or Forensic Science.

I go to a public magnet school, and I have to take 8 courses a year, but sophomore year I had to take 10. All of my courses are honors, so, or college. We’re a health school, so a lot of our classes are health based like college anatomy and physiology.

Kind of off topic, but has anyone else’s parent agreement been downloaded? Mine still hasn’t.

mine still says submitted

Anyone has parent ED agreement says downloaded?

I see that the counselor’s ED agreement and all recommendation letters says downloaded. Is this an indication or nor? OMG. I am so desperate now.

Those have been downloaded for a while for most people.
