This evening I received an email from Bates College, thanking me for my ‘excellent application’ and inviting me to a summit at Bates, which occurs after decisions are released. Which then begs the question: why would they need to sell Bates to a student who either was going to be rejected… I know that not everybody received the email. EXCITING.

Got accepted to University of Rochester (with less than half of the total fee and I need a full ride so it’s kinda off the list) and rejected at Colgate. So that’s three acceptanes and 1 rejection so far.

Waiting for Middlebury tomorrow too

@PO … I didn’t get any email from Bates so that is definitely a good sign.

Congratulations to keya, rishav and others who got into universities with aid … And to the others, don’t lose hope, better days are coming :)

All these rejections can mean only one thing… And I’ve told himanshu this before…

The adcoms are drunk when they make the final call
If you think about it… It actually makes sense - being drunk is the only way to ensure absolute neutrality and is in line with the “HOLYistic” process. :)

Don’t worry, I have a feeling luck will swing our way on Ivy day and we’ll have the final say. :D

no its not, anymore, for internationals. that makes it kinda sad
Although they claim to meet full need, according to SFS
Apparently it releases in 20 minutes?? :O

@Rishav
I think I’ll go with your theory of them being drunk xP
If I get accepted to Pton, Duke or Dart… at least my decision will probably be really easy… I really don’t have to struggle between choosing unis -_- :P

@Quiver
Welcome back :P

@Everyone… five more days guys till Ivy… D-Day… The end or beginning of the world!..
Best of luck and I really hope every one of us gets in to one of our top choices!

@keya I don’t know… the FAQ says it could be from zero to 100 people they pick.
I’m not taking my place on the waitlist though as I have a place at Duke :)

I have been waitlisted at Middlebury as well … I really thought I would get in there even though it’s not my first choice. But hey, I guess it’s just not for me :)
