lol @ undisclosed.. your comments are the best. I love you hahaha

Has anyone ever heard of the term, "Don't feed the troll"?
Well.... don't.

lol well said. i like that
college isnt life. its just a part of it. but who am i to speak? right now its kinda hard to see through to that truth. My life, or at least for the next few weeks, is all about college. cant wait till all of this is over lol

Same here. xD

I agree with everybody who is disagreeing with amateurcollegegu.

He just seems like an arrogant slacker who is preparing his own ego for rejection at Stanford, ie. if he is rejected, he can say "I didn't want to go there anyways".

then how come there was a guy in the SAT section got in with SAT 1700?

and here i thought the people who went to stanford were nice...lol

Umm...

It's best to ignore. :)

Stanford is posting decisions on 28th April, it's on their website.
!! SO SOON! (and I was dying from waiting)

I think you mean March 28th. We're all human and everybody makes mistakes.

I'm still anxious about getting admission decisions.

Oh shoot!

Lol

Where have you applied other than Stanford?

amateurcollegegu, you are evidence for Freud's theory on defense mechanisms!

Man, I'm already getting nervous/anxious and I know I'm probably going to be rejected.

Someone in the Princeton forum said that, last year, Stanford sent e-mails to admitted and deferred students first (from around 3pm to 7pm), and then later to rejected students (7pm and later). Is this true?

I dont think it would be like that actually. But we cant know for sure too.

My deferral letter came at 5:48. ::shrug:: You'd have to ask some admitted students to confirm that. However, I would assume it's true. They do the same thing for postal decisions--acceptance letters are always sent priority mail.

Perhaps I should just wait for the mail then. I'll probably get it on Saturday given that I live like forty-five minutes away; it'll probably take a day to come in the mail.

Last year students could log in to obtain their decision rather than waiting for an email, so I feel your pain. My d called me at precisely 3 p.m. West Coast time with her news.

Just a parent here, but I wish you all the best of luck tomorrow and beyond, whether at Stanford or another school deserving of your wit and wisdom.

That was very thoughtful of you cattv :)
