Daughter can't decide-- UGA vs BU for communication, down to the wire!

My daughter is deciding between UGA and BU for communications-- she originally wanted to do broadcast journalism, but is now thinking maybe PR or even Marketing/Advertising (w possible graphic design minor). She loved the city of Boston, BU campus just ok. She went to see UGA yesterday and was blown away by how beautiful it is. Both comm programs seem to be similarly ranked. Cost is not an issue. I would appreciate any thoughts that might help her decide. They are very different schools but she likes both of them. Thanks in advance!!

It sounds like she preferred UGA, in which case she should go to UGA.

You can’t just pick a school based on the campus

In case she does want to go Broadcast Journalism, what are the facilities like at both?
What kind of internships to students get at both get?
WHat are net costs? Yes, you may afford both but what about supporting her while at internships?
Are you from the south or the north? If you are from south, how does she feel about winter?
If from the north, how does she feel about southern culture?
How easy it is for her to get home from both?
What are the students like?
WHat is greek life like? Is she interested/not interested?
Are they in the city/suburbs/rural and how does she feel about that?
How easy would it be for her to take graphic design classes as a communications major?

To be frank we had the same issue with Michigan state (eldest) and penn state (second heading there)… I’m a BU grad and was shocked how beautiful the campuses are… yes it should be a factor! UGA would have great facilities as a major state university … BU communication has been in the same crappy building since I went there (sorry BU) … both will have opportunities similar and great alumni network
